Repair, service and maintenance RTU AC unit

Commercial Cooling.

Check leak on the system.

Safety precaution, wear gloves and safety goggles when handling refrigerant. Connect the low-pressure side (blue hose) of the manifold gauge to the low-pressure service port.

Connect the high-pressure side (red hose) to the high-pressure service port.

Connect the center hose (yellow) to the refrigerant tank. Purge any air from the hoses to prevent air from entering the system. Measure the superheat and subcooling values to ensure the system is charged correctly. Superheat is measured at the evaporator outlet, and subcooling is measured at the condenser outlet.

Adjust the refrigerant charge based on these measurements. Typically, a proper superheat is around 10-15°F, and subcooling is around 10-20°F. Once the system is properly charged, check for any refrigerant leaks using a leak detector.

Ensure all service ports are properly capped to prevent future leaks.

Record the final operating pressures, temperatures, and amount of refrigerant added for future reference.
